A great way to help promote this project is to go analog and do things in the real world. Some of this involves some good old friendly mischief. Maybe this the most effective way to get others involved, maybe it isn't, help me find out!
Post some Cosmic Contest flyers
This flyer is designed to look decent in black and white to save on ink costs, but feel free to edit and add color. Print some out, put them up around your neighborhood, tack them to a bulletin board at work, pass them out on a street corner, or come up with some other weird'n wacky way to get them in the hands of others. Let it be a mystery. Don't feel obligated to explain it at all. This project is for people who are willing to take a risk on something unknown.
Make a Nilknarf Figure
This is an object of mischief. This printable download is designed to give you a simple approach to make anything look like something that I, Nilknarf have transformed into. Just cut out the eyes and mouth that you think look best for your subject, and adhere them on with tape, glue, wheat paste, or whatever. Make sure you include the QR code somewhere near it so that the right kind of curious person can further explore what your beautiful creation is all about and how they can participate.
Use your other talents
In general, I am beyond grateful to get any level of participation in this project. If you can do anything listed on either of the Help pages, you are a massive help to the cosmic cause. I also know that I don't know all of your strengths, your skills, your desires. If you have some other idea about how to help this project grow, don't let me stop you. Maybe you have musical talents that could be put to use - a theme song, a jingle, background music, etc.. Maybe you have a space (ideally in Tucson, AZ) where a live, in-person contest could be held. Maybe you have psychic abilities that can plant the idea of Nilknarf's Cosmic Contest into the minds of others. I only ask that you do whatever you are going to do with kindness and good intentions. If you have an idea about how to help, but are unsure of its appropriateness, reach out and let your buddy Nilknarf know about it. Then maybe together, we can put your idea into action.
